Breast Enlargement (Augmentation) Patient 118**
About This Patient
This 26 year old has been bothered by the appearance of her breasts since development. She told Dr. Parker that she wanted fuller breasts, smaller areolas, lower poles expanded, and the breasts more symmetric including the creases beneath her breasts. The patient is 5’3″ tall, weighs 145 pounds, and wears a 34 B cup. Dr. Parker explained that her breasts are known as “tuberous breasts”, meaning that they are constricted by lower pole fibrous bands causing the breast tissue and areola to herniate forward with high, tight, asymmetric inframammary folds. He said surgery could be performed to reduce the size of the areolas, release the constricting bands, lower the inframammary folds, and insert breast implants to provide better shape to the breasts. Implant size was decided during a pre-operative Sizing Session; the patient selected 375 cc silicone implants. Dr. Parker performed the procedure exactly as described to the patient. She enjoyed a quick recovery after surgery associated with very little pain. The patient loves the natural look and feel of her breasts as well as feeling much more self-confident.
