Breast Enlargement (Augmentation) Patient 119**
About This Patient
This 29 year old patient was referred to Dr. Parker by an existing patient. She requested improvement in the appearance of her breasts. The patient did not like the way they looked before pregnancy and liked them even less after her children were born. She is 5’4″ tall and weighs 127 pounds. Dr. Parker explained to the patient that she had a condition called “tuberous breast” or “tubular breast” syndrome on her left breast which accounted for the asymmetry between her breasts. He told her he could correct this using periareolar incisions on both breasts. Dr. Parker said he would insert a breast implant into the right breast partial submuscular plane using a periareolar incision. He explained he would then release the constricting bands on the inside of her left breast causing the tuberous breast appearance, insert an implant into a partial submuscular position, then reduce the size of her areola to more closely match the areolar diameter and size of the right breast. The patient chose a 375 cc silicone implant for the right breast and a 425 cc silicone implant for her left breast in her Sizing Sessions. Dr. Parker performed the above surgery exactly as described. The patient recovered quickly from surgery with little pain. She is very happy with the significantly improved appearance and symmetry of her breasts.
