Male Liposuction Patient 21**

About This Patient

This 53 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by another physician. He requested liposuction of his abdomen not only to improve its contour but to hopefully lower his “fat markers”. The patient is 5’9″ tall and weighs 187 pounds. He works out regularly. Dr. Parker explained to the patient that he could remove some fat with SAFE liposuction which was under the skin and outside the abdominal cavity. He could not remove the intra abdominal fat and therefore the patient would still have some abdominal fullness. The patient said he was alright with this and wished Dr. Parker to proceed. Dr. Parker performed SAFE liposuction of the patient’s abdomen, removing 1000 cc of fat. The patient recovered quickly afterwards without pain. He is pleased with his improved contour as well as the reduction in his “fat markers”, including a 50% reduction in his serum triglycerides.
