About This Patient

This 28 year old presented to Dr. Parker bothered by his puffy areolas. He said they became this way at puberty and have persisted ever since. Dr. Parker examined the patient, then discussed options with him. He subsequently removed the subareolar fibroglandular tissue, responsible for the puffiness of the patient’s areolas, through a periareolar incision on either side. The patient bounced back from surgery, quickly returning to most activities within several days. He is very happy with the improved appearance of his chest and now feels very comfortable walking around without a shirt.
