About This Patient

This 23 year old requested improvement in the appearance of his chest, saying his breasts enlarged as a teenager after using performance enhancing drugs. His right breast was painful and tender. A work up by his primary care physician was negative. In surgery, Dr. Parker removed the excessive breast tissue by excising the fibroglandular tissue through a periareolar incision and performing SAFE liposuction to contour the remainder of the breast. He removed 125 grams of tissue from the right and larger side, 40 grams from the left side. The patient’s recovery was unremarkable. He is very happy with the now normal appearance of his chest. In addition, he no longer has any pain.
