The Original Micropeel
Dermaplaning, Chemical Peel & CO2 Therapy in One Anti-Aging Treatment
The original Micropeel is back at the Parker Center Medi-Spa. Truly a triple-threat treatment, a Micropeel is designed to address the most common age-related skin problems in a single, three-step treatment. A Micropeel can help you:
- reduce hyperpigmentation and balance skin tone
- smooth fine lines & wrinkles
- improve dullness & skin texture
The 3-Step Micropeel Treatment
The Micropeel procedure is a three-step process consisting of dermaplaning to manually exfoliate your problem spots, a chemical peel to remove old, dull layers of skin, and cryogenic therapy to remove dull, dead surface impurities.
Step 1: Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning uses a special place to manually exfoliate skin blemishes such as acne scars. At your skincare analysis, our aestheticians will determine your specific needs for dermaplaning. For example, we’ll skip this step in the case of skin lesions, active acne, or irritated skin conditions.
Step 2: Chemical Exfoliation
Our aestheticians will assess your skin and choose the right chemical peel for your skin type and goals. They’ll help you choose from our many options, including glycolic and lactic acid for normal skin types; niacin, lactic acid, and usnic acid for sensitive skin; and L-ascorbic acid with AHA acids for pigment balancing.
Step 3: Cryogenic Therapy
Lastly, we’ll use cryotherapy (CO2 therapy)—which helps to remove oil, dirt, and debris—to exfoliate the dull, dead skin cells while smoothing the skin’s appearance.
Original Micropeel vs. Micropeel Plus
This anti-aging treatment is not to be confused with Micropeel Plus, a one-step clinical procedure designed to control breakouts, while improving texture on patients with acne. This powerful peel is formulated with salicylic acid to refine pores and reduce acne irruptions and also features glycolic acid to aid in the improvement of rough texture, blotchiness, and uneven skin tone.
