About This Patient

This 49 year old had concerns about the appearance of her eyelids. She noticed her upper eyelids had become droopy, appeared heavy, and made her look tired. She was also bothered by the puffiness, lax skin and dark circles under her lower eyelids. At surgery, Dr. Parker conservatively removed skin from her upper eyelids. To treat her lower eyelids, he removed herniated fat using a transconjunctival incision, tightened the lid with a lateral canthopexy, removed a conservative amount of skin, and finally lightened and tightened the remaining skin with a laser peel. The patient had a little post-surgical bruising and moderate swelling which lasted a while but then resolved. She is very happy with the rejuvenated appearance of her eyelids and has received many favorable comments.
