About This Patient

This 75 year old patient was referred to Dr. Parker by her dermatologist with a large (10 x 8 cm) malignant melanoma in situ on her right cheek. Dr. Parker removed the tumor and performed an immediate reconstruction with a flap of skin and fat from the patient’s neck and chest. He chose these areas because of the excellent color match and also because of the extensive amount of tissue required.
