About This Patient

This 49 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by her dermatologist, consulted with him on two issues. She was to undergo removal of a recurrent and aggressive basal cell skin cancer on the base of her neck by a Moh’s surgeon. She was referred to Dr. Parker for reconstruction of the subsequent defect. In addition, she had lost 35 pounds of weight with diet and exercise. She was bothered by hanging skin and fat on her abdomen along with the fullness of her hips, inner thighs and knees. The patient is 5’6″ tall and weighs 163 pounds. Dr. Parker reconstructed the Moh’s defect at the base of the neck with adjacent tissues. At the same time, he performed a lipoabdominoplasty as well as VASER liposuction of the hips(removing 500 cc of fat from each side), inner thighs(removing 350 cc of fat from each side) and knees(removing 75 cc of fat from each side). The patient recovered rapidly after these procedures. She is absolutely thrilled with the excellently repaired scar at the base of her neck and the significantly improved contour of her abdomen, hips, inner thighs and knees.
