Skin Cancer Treatment Patient 15**
About This Patient
This 52 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by a Moh’s surgeon for reconstruction after removal of a basal cell skin cancer from the left lower eyelid using Moh’s surgery. Under IV sedation, the defect was reconstructed by rotating a large flap of cheek skin and underlying subcutaneous tissue. Two months later, the patient was referred again for a similar defect following Moh’s removal of another basal cell from the right medial cheek area. Again, this was reconstructed by Dr. Parker under IV sedation by rotating another large flap of cheek skin and underlying subcutaneous tissue. She has healed well with inconspicuous scarring on both sides.
