Rhinoplasty Patient 41**
About This Patient
This 34 year old asked Dr. Parker to remove her dorsal hump, which she said was a family trait. The patient was happy with her nasal tip and did not want this changed. Dr. Parker pointed out the pre-existing asymmetry of her nose with the bony cartilaginous hump more pronounced on the left versus the right side. He subsequently performed a closed rhinoplasty to reduce the dorsal hump, then infractures to appropriately narrow the upper portion of the nose. The patient recovered rapidly afterwards. She is very pleased with the appearance of her nose after surgery.
