Rhinoplasty Patient 23**

About This Patient

This 28 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient. She came in with concerns about the appearance of her nose. Two years earlier, the patient had undergone an open rhinoplasty with another plastic surgeon. The goal had been to refine and set back her nasal tip (along with alar base resections). However, she complained that presently her nasal tip looked too full on profile view and on front view, too wide. Dr. Parker performed a secondary open rhinoplasty and did the following: removed scar tissue from the supratip area, made the tip cartilages slightly smaller, reduced the cartilaginous septum in the supratip area by 2 mm and lightly rasped her nasal bones to smooth them. The patient recovered quickly. She loves the smaller appearance of her nose which she feels is in better proportion with the rest of her face.
