About This Patient

This 26 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, expressed concern about the appearance of her breasts. She had undergone prior breast augmentation and subsequent revision by another plastic surgeon several years ago. The breasts still do not seem right to her. In particular, she was bothered by the loss of the inframammary fold on the left breast and the large, protruding areolas on both sides. Dr. Parker reconstructed the left inframammary fold with internal sutures. He then performed bilateral periareolar mastopexies to reduce the size of the areolas and have a better proportion with the rest of the breasts. The patient healed quickly from this surgery and was very happy with the much improved appearance of her breasts.
