Removal & Replacement of Implants Patient 25**
About This Patient
This 37 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient. She came in requesting revision of her prior 450 cc high profile saline subglandular breast augmentation from another plastic surgeon. She felt her implants were too large, sitting too high on her chest with the left side looking fuller than the right. The patient is 5’3″ tall and weighs 125 pounds. During the patient’s initial consultation with Dr. Parker they reviewed a number of options and decided on the following plan: the existing implants would be removed from their subglandular pockets and replaced with smaller, more moderate profile implants in partial submuscular pockets. In a preoperative Sizing Session, the patient opted for a 365 cc implant on the right side and a smaller implant on the left side to provide the closest match possible. At surgery, using the patient’s existing inframammary incisions, Dr Parker implemented the plan as discussed. He determined a 315 cc saline implant on the left side provided the closest match to the 365 cc implant on the right side. The patient said her recovery was pain free, quick and easy. She is very happy with her somewhat smaller breasts, which she says look and feel much more natural to her.
