About This Patient

This 44-year-old was referred to Dr. Parker by another physician. The patient was unhappy with the appearance of her breasts 6 years after a saline breast augmentation performed by another plastic surgeon. She felt her implants sat too high on her chest and looked “fake”. After a discussion of various options between the patient and Dr. Parker, they arrived at the following operative plan. The saline implants were deflated preoperatively under local anesthesia, removing 330 cc of saline from each implant. A ‘Sizing Session’ was then conducted and the patient elected to have 300 cc silicone implants inserted. Dr. Parker used the patient’s existing inframammary incisions to remove the old saline implants and the surrounding capsular contracture. He released some of the scarring within the breast pocket and then inserted the new 300 cc silicone implants requested by the patient. Postoperatively, the patient healed quickly with no pain. She says her breasts look and feel more natural now.
