About This Patient

This 49 year old came to Dr. Parker requesting removal of her hardened 375 cc silicone breast implants, which a surgeon in Florida had inserted 4 years earlier. In recent months these had become very hard and painful. She was concerned she may need a breast lift when her implants were removed. Dr. Parker explained to the patient that given the size of her implants and favorable anatomy, a lift would not be necessary. The patient proceeded with surgery. Dr. Parker performed complete capsulectomies, removing or “explanting” both implants. The patient recovered without pain and quickly afterwards. She is very happy with her results. She loves the restored size and shape of her breasts.
