About This Patient

This 82 year old was referred to our Nurse Injector, Angela, for fillers to address her upper lip wrinkles which have increasingly bothered her over the years. She complains her lipstick bleeds into her lip lines and she would like this improved. Angela explained fillers would only provide a temporary solution and she might benefit from a consultation with Dr. Parker for something more permanent. After examining the patient, Dr. Parker discussed treatment options with her. He and the patient agreed upon a plan to dermabrade her upper lip area under local anesthesia. This was done several weeks later; the patient tolerated the procedure well. She said her recovery was fine. The patient is very happy with the appearance of her lips; her lipstick goes on very nicely now. She told Dr. Parker she receives many compliments, feels 10 years younger and he did a great job.
