About This Patient

This 34 year old patient asked Dr. Parker to improve her irregular abdominal contour and loose skin. She had undergone liposuction one year ago in the Dominican Republic and was not at all happy with her results. The patient is 5’2″ tall and weighs 123 pounds. Dr. Parker reviewed options with her and they agreed upon a lipoabdominoplasty. At surgery, Dr. Parker performed SAFE liposuction to thin and smooth out the fatty tissue throughout the abdomen. He then made a low lying incision and lifted the skin as well as the attached subcutaneous tissue up off the underlying rectus abdominus muscles. Dr. Parker tightened these loose muscles with several layers of sutures to correct the diastasis recti the patient had from pregnancy, then cut away the loose skin and carefully closed the lower abdominal incision with several layers of absorbable sutures. He carefully created an attractive belly button as well. The patient was surprised at how little pain she had afterward. She is very happy with her results. The patient told Dr. Parker that he did a great job and loves the significantly improved contour of her abdomen, well designed low and hidden tummy tuck scar, and her attractive belly button.
