About This Patient

This 49 year old lost over 90 pounds several years ago, through diet and exercise which she has maintained. The patient is 5′ 5″ tall and weighs 150 pounds. She came in reporting she was bothered by the hanging skin on her upper and lower abdomen, telling Dr. Parker, “it drives me crazy.” This is not an uncommon sentiment; people who have lost significant weight are often frustrated by leftover excess skin.
