About This Patient

This 15 year patient old asked Dr. Parker to improve the appearance of her prominent ears which have bothered her since she was 8 years old. Dr. Parker explained what is entailed in an otoplasty procedure. Several weeks later, he performed her surgery under local anesthesia by inserting permanent sutures to create a well defined anti helical fold, then set back the concha to bring the ear closer to the scalp. The patient enjoyed a quick recovery afterward without pain. She loves the natural appearance of her ears and the inconspicuous scar hidden in the crease behind the ears.
