About This Patient

This 16 year old asked Dr. Parker to improve the appearance of her asymmetric prominent ears which have increasingly bothered her, particularly as she has done more and more modeling. She requested to have the ears brought closer to her scalp and made more symmetrical. Dr. Parker explained the details of an otoplasty procedure with her. Several weeks later, he performed her surgery, inserting permanent sutures to create a more well defined anti helical fold, setting back the concha and earlobe. The patient recovered quickly afterward without any pain. She is very happy with the improved contour and symmetry of her ears.
