Keloid Treatment Patient 2**

About This Patient

This 20 year old was referred to Dr Parker by another patient. She requested removal of an very itchy keloid on her right ear which developed after her ear piercing was accidentally pulled from her ear. The wound healed by itself resulting in the thick scarring she has. Multiple steroid injections by a dermatologist have not helped. Dr Parker subsequently surgically removed the keloid and then reconstructed the ear with a combination of skin and cartilage flaps. The patient said her recovery was painless and easy. She loves the way her ear now looks.
