About This Patient

This 48 year old male was referred to Dr Parker by his wife, also a patient. The patient said he was bothered by the fullness of his chest, first noticed as a teenager. He is very self conscious about taking off his shirt, often wearing baggy shirts as a disguise. The patient is 5’9″ tall and weighs 175 pounds. Dr Parker treated his gynecomastia with SAFE liposuction to remove fatty tissue, then a specialized cannula to remove the fibroglandular tissue present; in total, 175 cc of aggregate tissue was removed from each side. This was all accomplished through a 3/8″ incision concealed in the armpit area. The patient said his recovery was quick and easy. He is ecstatic with his results after this “scarless” procedure and looking forward to the summer when he plans to go “shirtless” for the first time in many, many years.
