About This Patient

This 62 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by a friend for a consultation to discuss his heavy brows and lower eyelids. He had undergone an upper eyelid blepharoplasty by another surgeon 5 years ago. The patient complained to Dr. Parker about the loose and hanging skin between his eyebrows as well as the drooping of his eyebrows in this area. In addition, he was bothered by the loose skin and puffiness in his lower eyelids. After examining the patient, Dr. Parker carefully discussed all options with him in an effort to address his concerns. They agreed upon a lower lid blepharoplasty and a modified brow lift using a horizontal wrinkle line in the middle of his forehead for access to the brows. Several weeks later, Dr. Parker performed these procedures, raising his medial eyebrows and smoothing out the hanging skin between them. He also removed the herniated fat from the patient’s lower eyelids, removed a small amount of excess skin and performed a lateral canthopexy to support both lower eyelids. The patient’s recovery went well and scars have matured nicely over time. He is pleased with the improved aesthetics of his eyebrows and lower lids.
