About This Patient

This 36 year old requested that Dr. Parker improve the appearance of her breasts after breastfeeding two children. She reported that her breasts sagged and lost their volume following her pregnancy. Accordingly, she would like her breasts to be fuller and uplifted. The patient is 5′, weighs 118 pounds and wears a 34 B cup bra. Dr. Parker explained that she also has tuberous breasts, and that it is very common to have lost volume and sagging following pregnancy and breastfeeding. Using periareolar incisions, Dr. Parker first released the constricting tissues in the lower portion of the breasts to correct her tubular breasts. He then lifted the areolas into a better position with periareolar mastopexies. Lastly, to increase her breast size, he inserted 325 cc silicone implants into a partial submuscular or dual plane position. The patient recovered quickly after surgery and loves the fullness and markedly improved appearance of her breasts.
