Non surgical treatment of inverted nipples, such as coaxing the nipple with ice, stimulation, rolling or a plastic breast shell can provide temporary correction of the problem for breast feeding. Women seeking a lasting solution to the problem can undergo a simple, 20 minute, minimal incision in-office procedure under local anesthesia to release the constricting bands and correct the problem. This procedure can be done alone or in conjunction with other breast surgeries such as breast augmentation, lift and reduction.
